Meet George
George is an Investment Adviser at Shaw and Partners, joining the firm in 2026 after three years with Craigs Investment Partners. During this time, George developed a strong foundation in private wealth before progressing into an advisory role where the experience spans portfolio management, active trading, long-term investing, equities, fixed interest securities, KiwiSaver, and investment administration. This includes working with a range of client structures, including individual and joint investors, trusts, companies, and estates.
George brings an approachable and relationship-focused style to advice, taking the time to understand each client’s goals, priorities, and circumstances. This is complemented by an analytical and disciplined approach to financial markets, shaped by an academic tertiary background in astrophysics and mathematics. George enjoys simplifying complex investment ideas and helping clients make clear, informed decisions with confidence.
Outside of work, George is a high-performance sprinter specialising in the 100m and 200m, having represented Auckland at national level and New Zealand internationally. George’s sporting career has fostered a strong sense of adventure, which is channelled into exploring New Zealand by road and travelling around the globe.
